When engine power was reduced for the pre-landing descend, tl1e right engine throttle could not be retarded below 12800 RPM. The Captain selected minimum pennissible power on the left engine and made a landing. After landing, when the Captain switched off the right engine and selected ground fine on the left engine, the aircraft started to yaw towards the left side. Captain's actions to control this yaw proved futile. During this process the right side outer tyre got locked and gave way. The aircraft went off the runway towards the left side. However, after the aircraft had traveled a short distance, the Captain managed to bring it back on to the runway.
