The flight PK-305 was scheduled to depart from Lahore for Karachi at 1200 hrs(Z) as a regular passengers transport flight. About 150 NM from Lahore , the aircraft experienced an explosive decompression accompanied by green hydraulic failure. Initially the aircraft started climbing but at 29,000 feet the emergency descend was initiated and the aircraft diverted back to Lahore. Th elevators were initially jammed but finally the jamming was over, however controls remained hard to operate. The stability was unstable and constant trimming was applied. An appreciable stability was established at 7,400 feet. The gear were lowered by gravity extension and the aircraft landed back safely.
