When gears were selected down, while landing Pk- 735 at Peshawar, Left Main Landing Gear extended freely in the air with a loud bang. The hydraulic oil of the system depleted and warning light came on. Left landing gear was locked in down position through standby system. On landing the Left MLG actuator was found hanging in broken condition along with other hydra uIic pipes ruptured and broken. The aircraft couId not be rectified for normal flight due to technical reasons, hence with the approval of CAA airworthiness surveyor it was ferried to Karachi with landing gears down and locked. In Karachi it remained grounded for 17 days for repairs. The complete Left Main Landing was replaced. The broken Left MLG actuator revealed that actuating cylinder separated from the end fitting due to erosion/Fatigue as Service Bulletin by the manufacturer was not complied.
