On 20ᵗʰ July 2003, at 0347 local time, a Pakistan International Airline Boeing 747-240B AP-BAK (call Sign PK-717) ,'aborted take off and stopped at the end of the overrun.- The aircraft had a total traffic load of 62,345 kg, 115,600 kg fuel and was departing from Islamabad to Manchester onwards to New York. The flight was a regular scheduled passenger I cargo flight with 270 persons aboard (254 passengers, 13 crew and 03 flight crew members). No person sustained injuries. The weather was clear with calm winds.
