On 12 November 1982, an aircraft departed for its seventh spraying sortie when, shortly after take-off, it experienced partial engine power loss accompanied by severe vibration. The aircraft was unable to maintain climb performance and began losing airspeed and height at about 100 feet altitude. The pilot turned towards open ground and attempted unsuccessfully to jettison the chemical load. The aircraft eventually force-landed in a marshy area in a semi-stalled condition. The pilot evacuated safely without injury. Aircraft sustained substantially damaged.
