On 4ᵗʰ April, 2017, M/s Gulf Air Flight GFA 784, A330, Reg. No. A9C-KD was a scheduled passenger flight from Bahrain to Peshawar with 210 passengers and 11 crew members. Aircraft came in contact with Peshawar Tower 0054 UTC. Weather reported by local Met office was a thunderstorm with moderate rain. When the cockpit crew contacted ATC tower, the controller passed weather information along with surface condition as "runway surface wet with water patches". The cockpit crew opted to land through runway 35. After landing, during the landing roll, the pilot transmitted a "mayday" call when he realized that the deceleration was not sufficient. However,'·in the last quarter of landing roll, the aircraft slowed down at faster rate and came to stop in overrun after crossing end of runway by approximately 350 feet.
