PK-536 was a scheduled passenger flight from Karachi to Moenjodaro. The flight departed from Karachi at 1835 hrs PST and arrived Moenjodaro at 1921 hrs PST. The First Officer was Pilot Flying (PF) and Captain was Pilot Monitoring (PM) for this sector. The flight remained uneventful from departure till final approach for landing. The flight carried out NOB letdown after arriving overhead Moenjodaro. During final approach the First Officer was unable to fly the aircraft as per desired parameters therefore the Captain took over the controls and asked FO to follow on controls. After taking over the controls, the Captain took actions deviating from OEM recommended procedures to s,alvage the situation. However, the aircraft did a thick touchdown and bounced once. The post flight inspection revealed paint peeled off from tail skid bumper.
