On 10th November, 2018, Pakistan International Airlines Flight PIA 517, ATR 72-500 aircraft, Reg. No. AP-BKY was operating from Jinnah International Airport (JIAP), Karachi to Panjgur Airport as a scheduled passenger flight. The aircraft took off from JIAP, Karachi at 0207 hours (h) with 61 persons (passengers & crew) on-board. Take-off and flight enroute remained uneventful. For Landing, the aircraft made a high-speed Approach for Runway (R/W) 31 and landed almost halfway down the R/W at 0305 h. After Landing, the aircraft could not stop within the remaining R/W length and departed the R/W. It stopped in the overrun of R/W 31 at a distance of 400 feet (ft) from the end of the R/W, 100 ft to the right from the R/W centreline. All persons were safely evacuated.
