On 02nd August, 2022, Airblue Flight ABQ-410, Airbus 321 aircraft, Registration No. AP-BMP took-off from Allama Iqbal International Airport (AIIAP), Lahore to perform a schedule passenger flight to Dubai International Airport, Dubai with 8 crew members and 231 passengers on board. During take-off, Air Traffic Controller Officer (ATCO) observed flames in right engine / Engine No.2. ATCO observation was communicated to the Flight Crew. Pilot reported all operations normal and requested to land back as a precautionary measure. Afterward, ABQ-410 landed safely at AIIAP, Lahore.
