On 22nd February, 2018, Airblue flight ABQ 675, Airbus 321 aircraft, Reg. No. AP-BMW was a scheduled passenger flight from King Khalid International Airport, Riyadh to Bacha Khan International Airport (BKIAP), Peshawar. BKIAP, Peshawar is a joint user airfield at which both civil and military traffic operates. As ABQ 675 approached BKIAP, Peshawar it was advised to join the hold. While maintaining 12,000 feet (ft) overhead Peshawar, ABQ 675 reported Traffic Alert and Collision Avoidance System – Resolution Advisory (TCAS – RA). The TCAS – RA alert was due to Military traffic, which after getting airborne from BKIAP, Peshawar climbed to 12,000 ft instead of 10,000 ft despite traffic information which was passed prior to departure by Air Traffic Control (ATC).
