On 17th October 2025, the Rawalpindi Flying Club (RFC) Cessna 172 aircraft, registration AP-BJZ, departed Islamabad International Airport (OPIS) on a training flight destined for Allama Iqbal International Airport (OPLA), Lahore. Shortly after takeoff, the pilot experienced a partial loss of engine power and requested a lower altitude before declaring an emergency. The aircraft landed safely; however, it sustained damage to the lower aft fuselage and tail cone area during the occurrence. No injuries were reported.
