On July 29, 1984, an F-27 aircraft (Reg. No. AP-BAO) was performing scheduled flight PK-411 from Islamabad to Gilgit. The aircraft executed a normal approach and touchdown; however, approximately five seconds into the landing roll, the crew and passengers experienced heavy vibrations. The pilot managed to stop the aircraft on the runway without difficulty, leaving approximately 1,500 to 2,000 feet of runway remaining. A post-landing inspection revealed significant technical failures: both right-side tires had blown, and the pneumatic supply line to the inner wheel of the right main gear had sheared off. All passengers were evacuated safely, and no injuries were reported among the passengers or crew. A subsequent inspection of the runway found no foreign objects or debris that could have caused the tire failure, and weather conditions were confirmed as normal at the time of the incident. Maintenance teams replaced the starboard inner and outer main wheel assemblies, brake assemblies, and Max. Units before performing a heavy landing inspection to return the aircraft to service.
