On December 5, 1984, at 0700 LT, a Saudia Boeing 747 (Flight No. SV-352) landed at Karachi Airport and was instructed by ATC to park at Bay No. 13. The aircraft followed a provided follow-me vehicle for guidance during the taxiing and parking process. While parking at the assigned bay, the Boeing 747's right wing tip came into contact with the left-hand wing tip of a PIAC Airbus A-300 that was already parked at the adjacent Bay No. 14. The investigation noted the following details regarding the incident: Cause: The contact occurred due to limited space between the two adjacent parking bays. Damage (Boeing 747): There was no damage sustained to the wing tip of the Boeing aircraft. Damage (Airbus A-300): The parked Airbus sustained damage to its aileron, and the lens of its navigation light was broken. Injuries: No injuries were sustained by any person during the incident.
