On 7th January, 1990 at abou-t; 1250 hours, after having been cleared by the Chief Flying Instructor Rawalpindi Flying Club, for his first solo mission. Mr. Musharab Amin, a student pilot at Rawalpindi Flying Club, took off in Cessna-152 aircraft (Tieg. No •.AP-BAW). He was briefed to take off, fly a normal circuit / pattern and execute a full stop landing. He took off from Runway 30 and flew the pattern without any problem. His approach looked steady and well controlled, however, he either rounded out slightly high or got ballooned up and then pushed the control column forward and let the aircraft hit the ground in a nose low attitude. This developed into a porpoise condition and thus causing the breaking of the nose wheel strut from to the mounting point. The student got further confused, applied left brake and caused the aircraft to veer shartly to the left. As a sequel to this, right wing hit one of the runway lights along the left side of the runway. Runway light as well as the right wing were damaged extensively. The student pilot meanwhile, managed to switch off the engine and the aircraft came to stop after having gone off the runway on katcha with nose down attitude.
