On 14th November, 1994 M/s Schon Air Cessna 172, Reg. No. AP-BDV operating a training flight from Karachi t.o Sukkur had an incident at Karachi Airport. Soon after take-off about 600 ft AGL the fuel quantity gauge needle started fluctuating. ATC instructed the pilot to climb to 2000 ft after turning 360 degrees. Aa the aircraft climbed to a height of 1000 ft the fuel quantity gauge needles tluctnation continued and engine vibrations alao started. At this atage the oil preuure started dropping and was followed by drop in engine RPM which soon settled to about 500. The pilot requested for a priority landing and as the aircraft was making an approach the engine RPM dropped further. The aircraft made a succeaaful dead stick landing on the runway. There waa no damage to the aircraft or injury to the pilots.
