Flight PK231, operating from Islamabad via Peshawar to Dubai, landed on Runway 12L at Dubai International Airport after an uneventful flight. During the landing roll, ATC observed sparks coming from the aircraft’s right side. The aircraft slid on the runway with the right engine contacting the ground, veered off the runway, and came to rest in soft sand after the right landing gear collapsed. A significant fuel leak occurred from the damaged right wing fuel tank. The Captain ordered an emergency evacuation, and all passengers and crew evacuated safely with assistance from airport fire and rescue services.
