M/s. P.I.A.C's F-27 type of aircraft operated scheduled passenger flight No. PK-405 to Gilgit Airport on the 31st August,1982. It was reported that during landing PK-405, using runway-25, touched right of the centre line. It travelled on the runway for a short distance till it went on the ''Katcha", right of runway. It covered a distance of approximately 900 feet before it again came on the runway. No one was injured. The Flight Crew did not report abnormality. The ground engineering staff therefore did not carry out heavy landing check.
