The PIAC aircraft B737-300, Reg. No AP-BFT was operating Flight PK 363 from Islamabad to Quetta on 8ᵗʰ March, 2013. The flight remained uneventful till landing. After landing at Quetta, the cockpit crew experienced severe vibrations and aircraft started to pull towards left. The aircraft was kept on the runway by cockpit crew while taking remedial actions. On post flight inspection, it was observed that Left Main Landing Gear (LMLG) Upper Torsion link had broken. The aircraft LMLG Upper Torsion Link was found fractured at larger lightening. Shimmy damper upper portion containing hydraulic lines and manifold got dislodged from shimmy damper actuator. The hydraulic fluid lines to the LMLG brake assembly were also found damaged.
